Me and my husband of 46 years was headed to our post office box to check the mail. We had our little shadow with us a Yorkie named Anna.
As we pulling into the parking lot my husband Kenny started having chest pains and was gasping for air. We got the truck stopped and I called 911. And then called our daughter. The ambulance got there first and a few seconds later our daughter Becky pulled in and parked. Things got wild after that they transported him to the closest hospital got him stabilized and sent on to a bigger hospital. The day before my birthday Kenny underwent open heart surgery, triple bypass. They let me sit with him a few minuets the next day, my birthday. The TV was on with low volume and as I sat there thinking if this was the last birthday together I rather be there with him then anywhere else. I don't know if he knew i was there, but i knew. Later that day my friend Kathy brought me and Becky my birthday dinner to the hospital. She was a blessing. By this point the money was getting scarce. We live off of Social Security and what money my books bring in and it was still two weeks till payday. I started praying, "I know Father you would make a way when there seemed to be no way. Lord I am leaving it in your hands. Then not one but two people pulled into the yard and gave me money. It was enough to get us to the hospital and food till payday. Living on a prayer. Kenny is doing so much better now and I am truly thankful. Now you know what i have been doing this year. I am getting back into my writing and art work. I am living each day as if it were my last and enjoying life and the little things that make life special. If you want to help us out buy one of my books. You can find them at your local bookstore and at Amazon. Blessing!
